To make sure everyone can fully relax and enjoy the weekend without worrying about travel, we’ve arranged for teepee tents and sanitary facilities to be set up in the field adjacent to the house.
The tents will be available from Thursday evening through to Sunday. Each accommodates four guests, and linen and towels are provided.
To organise this we kindly ask for a contribution of €220 per person. We would appreciate this to be transferred by the 7th of January 2026 to the following account:
Name: Hr W de Boer, Hr JA Avery
IBAN: NL96 INGB 0106 6141 93
BIC/SWIFT: INGBNL2A
Please send an email with the details of your arrival when known to jamesandwubbo.accommodation@gmail.com
TRAVEL
We strongly recommend arriving by car or renting one locally, as La Chicotterie is in a very rural location, and it will give you the freedom to explore the surrounding area and visit nearby towns for food and drinks whenever you like.
The nearest train stations are Gare d’Issoudun and Gare de Châteauroux, both easily reached from Paris and about forty minutes from La Chicotterie. Car rental is available in both towns.
The nearest airport is Limoges, where car rental is also available.
Address: 1 La Chicotterie, La Berthenoux, 36400, France

FAQs
What is the dress code? Country chic! Linens, silks, cottons, anything that will let you breathe in the midsummer heat. It does tend to cool down at night so be sure to bring an extra layer. Think Sopranos garden party.
When should I RSVP? Please RSVP and pay for your accommodation by the 20th December.
Do I need my own bedding or a pillow? No, the teepees all come fully furnished with four comfortable single beds, linens, and pillows.
Are there toilets and showers? Yes, sanitary facilities will be available.
What if I don’t have four people to share a teepee with? No problem at all, we will then ensure it works out numbers wise. Message us if you have further questions about this. Will the costs be the same in that case? Yes, the price is per person and regardless of how long you decide to stay.
Is there alternative accommodation available in the area? The house is remote and we’ve booked the teepees to accommodate all of our guests on site.
Can I come earlier or stay longer? The teepees are available from Thursday evening. They will be disassembled early Monday morning.
How far away is the market on Saturday? Just a 15 minute drive. The square at the centre of La Châtre has hosted a market every Saturday since the 11th century and we won’t be breaking that tradition!
We look forward to seeing you!
